A shower for Abby

Social media is a powerful, powerful tool. You hear that again and again and again but you don’t realize how powerful it can be until something like this happens. Naomi of Enchanted Dream Weddings came up with this idea to throw a mutual love of ours a ‘virtual’ shower. Naomi along with some of the dearest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing through the internet decided we needed to honor Abby of Life in the SuperBurbs. Together, through the powers of social media (Twitter, Facebook, gMail) and with the incredible hands of Andrea at Tapestri the 11 of us created Abby a quilt of quotes. Things that mean something to us, in hopes it will mean something to her.
The quotes I chose were Walt Whitman’s “In you I wrap a thousand onward years” and E.E. Cummings' “I carry your heart with me, I carry it in my heart...” poem.
Abby, I am so grateful to have known you through this amazing world of media. From guest blogging on Style Me Pretty to our Tuesday Shoesday dates, you are an incredible person and I am overjoyed to call you friend.
To the ten other powerful and beautiful women who participated in the project, I adore you all. More than you could ever know.
