Decisions, Decisions
Once you’ve found your design and colors and thought of what embellishments you would like, that’s when the fun begins! Check and see if there is a Gwyneth Paige retailer in your area. They’ll be able to walk you through with tender love and care; we promise!
If there isn’t a shop that carries our line locally we are delighted to work with you directly. We’ve found email works wonderfully and we’ve even made a handy PDF order form that you can fill out and send to hello@gwynethpaige.com to start the process. You’ll have an email with all of your next steps and a contract from us in about 24 business hours. (Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM EST). Also at this stage it’s nice to include any design element changes along with your text (horizontal instead of vertical, change Burgues to Bickham, Garamond to Helvetica, make the text centered, justified, upside down…). As soon as we receive your text submittal form and deposit we’ll get to work. The initial design process takes about three business days and you will receive an electronic PDF proof.
Proof, proof and then proof again
Included in your contract are two (2) complimentary rounds of proofing. It’s here that you’ll make any changes to point size, layout, spelling, wording or otherwise. It’s our loving suggestion you have everyone and their brother proof your suite. We can not be held responsible for approved proofs with errors. Once you are 100% overjoyed with your proof we will ask for your approval in writing (or via email) and we’ll head to press.
Then comes letterpress
After we have your approval and the remainder of your deposit our printers get to do what they do best. We have extremely dedicated artisan printers on our side who love nothing more than the whoosh-clack-thump sounds that our presses make. …Well, maybe they love cupcakes and their families just a little bit more, but you get the hint…
Since your entire suite is hand crafted the printing process take three weeks to complete (we do offer rush turnarounds for a 50% upcharge). We promise you won’t be disappointed. Once everything is checked diligently for perfection it will be lovingly packaged and shipped to you using your chosen shipping method. Because we feel your product is priceless we do require your signature upon delivery.
Bliss
It will be difficult to wait patiently for your package to arrive and even more difficult not to tear madly into the shipping box once it arrives. We know; we love letterpress too! We wish we could be the proverbial fly on the wall when you open your packages. There is nothing like seeing your name pressed adoringly into archival cotton paper for the very first time to make you swoon.
